Japanese Zombies: The Rough Introduction (Dr Jmegaman)[]

This Article is Fanon. Fanon being the whole point in this wikia.

This is just a rough idealization of what I think Japanese zombies would look like if placed into a level. I'm actually giving this article a bit of detail.

Heres my idea of the introduction to the level.

It starts out with a cutscene. A fighter plane with 4 US Marines is flying over Japan when suddenly it encounters stormy weather. The weather overtakes the plane, and the plane lands in the misty swamp area where the battle will take place. It is surrounded by jungle and a swamp laden with deep mist (There seems to be no way out). The 4 Marines are lucky enough to find an ancient Japanese shrine found in the center of the swamp, with the words, "Shi No Numa," written on it in English. As they look inside the shrine, they see the bodies of 4 other dead US Marines, brutally gored and ripped to shreads. Having no idea what caused them to appear here or how they were murdered, they adventure up to the second floor and see an Oni shrine. One of them mutters, "What is that thing?," and then the Oni statue lights up. The voices of Japanese zombies can be heard in the background, slowly rising from the misty swamp, dragging themselves to the shrine and ready to kill the men. The men gasp and curse, but one of the men says, "Gear up soliders! We aren't going down without a fight!" Then all the soliders, armed with the all basic Colt M1911, stick their guns and fists up in the air and shout, "Oo-rah!," and the battle to the death begins...

The Battleground[]

A major difference in fighting the Japanese zombies is the battleground it takes place in. Remember that the Nazi zombies both took place in closed buildings. Often, you would end up opening certain rooms in an attempt to flank/funnel the zombies in for a stronger advantage. But in this case, this is not true. The Japanese zombies fight in an open but misty and forested swamp area. Here, the zombies rise out of the murky waters and slowly go in for the kill. But, it is hard to see the zombies well since a dense mist surrounds the area, limiting your vision. But on an open note, you actually have the ability to go into the open swamp area. In the swamp area, there is no dead end, and you can easily run around the whole area as you plow your way through hoards of zombies. The swamp is also dotted with jungle, allowing you to flank zombies as you navigate through complex paths of trees, vines, and bushes. But on the downside, your in swamp water, so your mobility becomes limited (You will still be able to run, but not as fast). Lastly, the swamp also has traps you can set up. There are 2 different types of traps to choose from. They are the land mine (When a zombie steps on them, he and other zombies around him will explode) and the trip wire (When a zombie walks over this, 2 logs with spikes on the edges of them will come falling down, smashing the zombie(s) in the middle of them). These traps will be reset after each use, cannot affect you, and come in at reasonable prices. But on the downside, each takes roughly 5-10 seconds to set up depending on the trap.

If the swamp area is not for you, an ancient, rotting Japanese shrine stands in the center of the swamp. There are 2 entrances in the front and back of the rotted wood shrine, one on the front side and one on the back side. Inside, a few torches dot the interior, allowing for some dim light to illuminate the rooms. On the walls include chalk marks for American and Japanese weaponry, such as the M1 Garand Bayonet, Thompson, BAR, M1897 Trench Gun, Arisaka Bayonet, Type 99, or the Type 100. The Shrine is has 2 floors on it, one room for each floor, giving the shrine an open feel just like the swamp. A staircase on the wall of the first floor allows entrance to the second floor. The second floor has 1 main attraction, the Oni shrine. For a price, you can pray to the Oni shrine and cause the Oni (A Japanese demon) that inhabits the shrine to awaken and infest the shrine. When the demon infests the shrine, you get access to a number of luxuries. The first luxury is of course the Mystery Box. The Mystery Box still retains its role, but after each use, it switches location to the other floor (So if you used it on the second floor, it would teleport to the first floor and so on). The Oni also infests the teapots on the first floor, giving you the ability to get Perk Tea (Which is the equilvalent of Perk Cola in Verrückt). For a price, you can pay the Oni for Perk Tea, which gives you a certain Perk when drunk. There are 4 Perk Teas, which consist of once again Double Tap, Sleight of Hand, Juggernaut, and Speed Revive again. There also might be a slight variation in the teas, hopefully with new perks such as Extreme Conditioning (Something to really assist you in the battleground area itself). There are also 3 special, "Sake Bottles" on the second floor. These are Hellhounds, Oni Rage, and the Wonder Weapon.. The Hellhounds Bottle causes a swarm of flaming Hellhounds to emerge from the altar and attack the Japanese soliders. Every bite from the Hellhound is a 1 hit KO. But the downside of this is that if you touch the Hellhound, you are automatically put into Last Stand, and the Hellhounds disappear after 2 minutes. The Oni Rage Bottle is basically the same thing. The Oni infesting the shrine will emerge from the shrine with a kanabō (A giant wooden club covered with steel), and will destroy any Japanese zombie in it's path. The good part about this is that the Oni will remain on it's spree for 4 minutes and cannot hurt you, but costs much more than the Hellhounds do. Also, you can only have one Hellhounds/Oni Rage Perk Tea used at a time and cannot be used in unison. The Wonder Weapon Bottle allows access to the Wunderwaffe DG-2 outside. This weapon is a giant mounted machine gun resembling an oversized STG-44 that is equilvalent of a Ray Gun in power. But the downside of this is that you are somewhat vunerable when using this weapon and it overheats easily. Lastly, the Sake Bottles only have limited uses. Unlike the Perk Teas where even if you die you can rebuy the perks, each Sake Bottle only has a limited number of drinks. The Hellhounds Bottle has 5 uses, the Oni Bottle 3 uses, and the Wonder Weapon 1 (But the Wunderwaffe DG-2 doesn't get destroyed).

So with all of these items to your advantage, the swamp allows for scary, but spectactular fun!

Fanon Map[]

Japanese Zombies take place on the Zombie map, House of Parliment and as an easter egg on Zombie Trench. House of Parliment also features British Zombies on it. Japanese Zombies are much easier to spot in House of Parliment than in Shi No Numa. They also wield Type 99's but will not use them (or be willing to use them). They also Wield Type 100, however, you cannot pick them p off their dead bodies (much like the Flamethrower of the Germans in Vendetta).

Description of Zombies[]

Japanese zombies, just like their Nazi counterparts, are fallen soliders killed by the Allies during World War II, and have been reanimated as zombies, ready to avenge the deaths of themselves and their fallen comrades. They are just as creepy and satanic as their Nazi counterparts. But these zombies have a sleight upper hand compared to their Nazi allies. The Japanese zombies can carry a variety of weapons on them to use, ranging from knives, katanas, and even Arisaka bayonets (Although sometimes, the zombies will be unarmed). These zombies generally attack with a stabbing motion, which is considerably stronger than the bare-handed Nazi zombies. And just like the Nazi zombies, they grow stronger and faster in each wave, but compared to the Nazi zombies, they are slower, but stronger (Due to the fact that they are carrying weapons). These zombies are also considerably smarter than their Nazi counterparts. They wear camouflage, which allows them to blend in with the swamp area and sneak up on you if your not on your guard (But the zombies often squirm or wiggle when hiding, giving away their position and allowing you to kill them quickly). They also can barrow through the floors of the Shrine and come in at you for a surprise attack.

Weapons[]

Japanese Zombies wield Weapons but will not use the majority of them. In House of Parliment, they wield Type 99's and Type 100's but will not use them. They also wield Katanas and Knives to stab you, (the Katana will down you instantly unless you have Jugger-Nog, which it takes four). In Zombie Trench, they wield Ariska Bayonets to stab you with. The Bayonets, however, you can still stab them in the neck if they are infront of you when they stab you. But in the upcoming map in Map Pack 3 (Fanon Made), they will wield even more weapons. Infact, they will wield the two most powerful weapons in the game. The Type 99 and the Type 100 Flamethrower along with the all powerful, all succesful Ray Gun. They will not, however, kill you instantly with a Ray gun, it will take Three Shots to down you. Also, the Type 99 and 100 Flamethrower users will stay back (at the end of the room) and fire at you. Also, Flamethrowers only appear after round 10. If the user has Jugger-Nog, he/she can surive Five Seconds of the Type 99 Flamethrower but only three seconds of the Type 100 Flamethrower. It will take 5 shots from the Ray Gun with Jugger-Nog to down you.

Opinion Box[]

Insert your opinions in this box, and actually don't delete/type rubbish godmodded stuff in the article. I might add some details into more articles in the future, but probably not. I only edited this article because I was on a sugar rush and I wanted to give my true in all honest opinion on what I think Japanese zombies would be like. -Justin

OKAY LISTEN:

I've seen that a lot of people on YouTube and other websites alike have been using MY information. I understand, but remember, it's not real. It's just what I believe Shi No Numa would be like, but we have to see what it's like when it comes out in early June. I do understand that there will be perks, traps, flaming hellhounds, and etc., but it doesn't mean that all of it will totally be there. For example, a look at some of the trophies (Revealed on the PSN) it shows that there will only be 4 perks (Presumably the same 4 from last time), not 10 like I suggested. I'm just saying, if you like my idea and post it somewhere, just quote my idea from this page.

AND, my username is Dr Jmegaman

P.S. I only wrote the Japanese Zombies: The Rough Introduction, The Battleground, and Description of Zombies sections, the other sections of this article was written by other people. Regard it if you want, but the most recongized stuff is the articles I wrote, not other people. I might also edit the article on occasion, correcting grammar errors or adding details to fit the already vague description of the level itself (Ex. 4 Perks Trophy).
